Sabatic Hotel Formentera

At the water's edge, with our feet touching the sand, we have designed a boutique hotel with 32 rooms where one can feel the wild atmosphere of the island. Designing from local traditions, applying multiple textures, playing with light or shadow, and preserving the sense of serenity. An island where one would want to walk barefoot all day and forget about their mobile phone or email. That’s where we want to take our guests to disconnect from their daily routine and reconnect with nature.

Local craftsmanship has been used for its furniture and lighting, using natural materials sourced nationally and manual finishes that reflect the authenticity of the design. The challenge is to ensure that this wonderful spot withstands the anticipated foot traffic while carefully attending to the details in high-use areas, collaborating with national manufacturers experienced in contract solutions for essential items like faucets, sanitaryware, and equipment.

Since it is a newly built structure, we have not aimed to replicate traditional architecture or design, but have sought to integrate it at the level of finishes and furniture to respect the island's identity, without resorting to imitation products that distance us from that authenticity.
