A duplex apartment is once again filled with light, harmonious decoration, and a certain sixties flair

This project consisted in renovating a duplex apartment for residential purposes comprised of five bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a terrace. What we had to work with was an apartment with a classic and excessively compartmentalised layout and a style overloaded with wood surfaces. The idea was to bring light into the spaces. For the flooring, we decided to instal large-sized porcelain tiles in an off-white tone with a stone-like texture. Together with the white walls and ceilings, we achieved a refreshing and bright base upon which we applied stained oak pieces and black lacquered iron details, elements that play an important role in providing elegance and contemporaneity.

We placed special importance on the furniture design. For this, we reinterpreted a sixties feel combining it with the cinnamon tones of the furniture and the black of the metal pieces.

As for the decoration, we juxtaposed modern and classic elements to add originality to the spaces.

All the living areas are located on the access floor, including the kitchen, and have direct access to the terrace, just like the master bedroom which is equipped with a walk-in wardrobe and ensuite. The girls’ bedrooms are located on the upper floor as well as a common play and study area.
